Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP) Programme
The MFYP programme is for first year midwives and provides a mix of mentoring and education to support graduate midwives in their first year in the workplace.

Midwifery Complex Care Clinical training programme
Ministry of Health funding is available for this postgraduate training for a limited number of experienced midwives working in DHB secondary and tertiary settings. Its aim is to provide midwives with the academic education and clinical training they require in order to develop their clinical skills and experience in caring for women and babies with complex care needs.

Health Workforce New Zealand (Ministry of Health) funding for Midwifery Postgraduate Education
Health Workforce New Zealand funding is available for midwifery postgraduate education (additional to the complex care clinical training). The funding will subsidise the cost of the student fees.
